I want to re-do the suspension on my 88 ranger, I think its lifted 3", but i was looking at my stock diesel and it has the lift bracket too so I'm not sure. It clears 32s all around, and stock size is a 29", so i think it is lifted. the rear asorbers are pretty soft and the truck bounces alot. and when i put 4 bales of hay, the rear tires tuck under the wells a little bit, but dont rub. what asorbers should i get (brand) and what size? im looking for something that would give a nice ride, but not super stiff. and also pretty inexpensive.
thanks for your input.

also looking to maybe get a few more inches out of it, (stretch the leafs a little), if possible, give a higher stance and more clearance for the tires.

Awhile ago I bought a pair of "Gabrial Hi Jacker" air-adjustable shocks absorber's and they were really handy for when I had to load up the bed and needed a little help with wheel clearance. They are not the cheapest set of adjustable's out there but IMHO they are buy far the best bang for a buck!

Gabrial also makes another set called "Load Carriers" with a heavy coil spring wrapped around them for more support, but they are more expensive and are not adjustable. For what it sounds like your wanting I would go with an adjustable shock comparable to the Hi Jackers.

How do they ride? Cause my truck bounces a lot in the bed. I've spilt half a coffe on me driving to school. (Road was concrete and had grooves)

They felt good to me. When nothing was in the bed and the air was set to normal they gave enough movement/spring in the rear so you wouldn't loose any teeth going over a speed bump. Of course they did get a little stiff when I aired them up for a heavy load, and felt a little stiff when I towed something.(I probably didn't need to add air) Overall I was very pleased with them, in fact I am considering another set now after your post lol.

Well... kinda yes and no, kinda yes in the fact that you can add some air to get a "stiffer" ride and then take that air back out to get a "normal" ride. But no you wont get the same kind of "soft" ride as bags. When set to normal there just reg shocks, add some air and now you can haul some hay in back and get a little more tire clearance and more stability.

Alrighty. There's an autozone near my school. Did you have to mod you suspension bolts at all or did they bolt right in?
