Sorry, haven't been where I could look up parts and reply, but sounds like you;ve been getting some good suggestions on what to get. I haven;t used them myself, but what I've been reading agrees with the statements previously made about the Mevotec TTX stuff.
All of the labor myself and absolutely need to have an alignment myself. Full specific parts list if you please. If you're feeling extra kinky, links to Rock Auto would be amazing. I'll do up to $1000 since I don't need to buy all at once. I'll just do all the work at once when I gather the parts. This is going to coincide with new tires so might as well have them balanced and aligned after I get the suspension done.
Since you're doing it yourself, you shouldn't encounter any issues with the shop refusing parts. It'll also let you stretch your dollar a little further. Since you are doing an alignment I'll include a few extra parts that I would include, stuff that the shop doing the alignment will probably want replaced and/or installed. With replacing those parts it might actually make sense to buy a front end kit from RockAuto, potentially safe a few bucks.
Not feeling too kinky, but am feeling a little helpful right now so here's what I've got. I'm going to provide two lists of what I'd consider when shopping for my own truck. The first is more budget oriented, but what I would still consider to be OE quality replacement components. The second is for what I think would last better for some wheeling, and what I'd buy if I were doing it right now. Keep in mind that the forum discount code will knock 5% off these prices. It ain't much, but every little bit helps.
Budget friendly list:
- Tie Rod Ends: 2x MEVOTECH MES3461 @ 18.36 ea
- Front Sway Bar Links: 2x MEVOTECH MK7275 @ $8.28 ea
- Lower Ball Joints: 2x MEVOTECH MK8695T @ $19.86 ea
- LT Upper Control Arm: MEVOTECH CMK8708T @ $41.79
- 1 piece RT Upper Control Arm: MEVOTECH CMK80068 @ $41.79
- Camber Adjusters: 2x MEVOTECH GK80065 @ $10.07 ea
That comes out to $196.72 plus S&H. Alternatively you could buy the front end kit, MEVOTECH MKIT10316, and add the camber adjusters for a total of $199.03 +S&H.
Offroad oriented list:
- Tie Rod Ends: 2x MEVOTECH TXES3461 @ 34.79 ea
- Front Sway Bar Links: 2x MEVOTECH TXK7275 @ $11.20 ea
- Lower Ball Joints: 2x MEVOTECH TXK8695T @ $35.99 ea
- LT Upper Control Arm: MEVOTECH CTXK8708T @ $88.79
- 1 piece RT Upper Control Arm: MEVOTECH CTXK80068 @ $87.99
- Camber Adjusters: 2x MEVOTECH GK80065 @ $10.07 ea
That comes out to $360.88 plus S&H. Alternatively you could but the front end kit, MEVOTECH MKIT30316, and add the camber adjusters for a total of $382.93 +S&H.
I honestly don't think you would go wrong with either set. but the latter might last appreciably longer under wheeling conditions. As you can see the base price of the kits is higher than buying components individually, but that could change once S&H is added. If the separate ordered pieces are ship[ping from a few different warehouses, it could drive up the price to higher than the kit that ships from one. You;lkl have to check for your area.
Unfortunately RockAuto is not too link friendly. It's possible, but one would have to link each individual item page. More work than I'm going to put in right now. They will allow you to email your shopping cart, but you can't copy and paste a link to it. If you want to PM me your email address I can try to send a copy of those saved carts to you.
As for shocks, IIRC you got some good recommendations previously in the thread. What I would personally recommend is not listed on RockAuto site, so I'm not including those items in my lists. Pick out your preferred shock, find a part number, and seek out the best price from a reputible source. FWIW, on the (mostly street driven) budget side I'd get OE replacement Monroe shocks, on the offroad side I would go with Bilsteins. If I were going budget but planned to see offroad, I'd splurge on the bilsteins. Not knocking KYB, Rough Country, etc, but I've had no experience with them.
