i've seen the article before.. the only thing with mine is that i don't not only have the latch... but i don't have the trim piece that is adhesived (i believe) to the actual glass... so basically all i have is two pieces of glass in there.

Tint it maybe 25-35 percent tint. Its fairly easy and will look great if you can follow the directions. I wouldnt go making the truck look tacky.. Like stick on chrome and hood scoops just some little things like tint and maybe some larger chrome or black rims with some aggressive tires. Maybe some bright head lights. Grill guard. Used Cheap things do what you can do.

i guess if i could summarize my wants for this truck is that i want to slowly update existing parts to keep the truck alive, while also slowly updating the looks to keep the looks alive as well... i would like performance upgrades, gas saving mods, getting more hp and response out of my truck, etc etc

Most would say you'd be wasting money on an intake system. For what you pay, sure not wotth the little return. The exhaust is a different matter, don't go wild with it.

I would ditch el lame-o camper........
you need bullhorns on the hood to keep the camper, I had a very similar truck with an ooga horn (best mod I ever did)

do you have the sweet ash floorshift?

so i should revamp my entire exhaust system if i can? i mean like are the connctor pipes okay? just get a new catalytic converter, exhaust manifold, muffler?

i don't smoke... like i said i'm ditching the camper once i get the rear sliding window fixed.

my shifter is on the floor if that's what you mean...

lose that bed cap, get some newer ranger rims, maybe some new paint, gtet another grill and cut it to leave just the outer ring, then add some mesh grille like the one u posted before, the grill surrounding in silver as your truck and the mesh in black would give a sporty look it would end kind of like this:

or should i just measure them?

Just check your tires if they say 14" you have 14x7, if they say 15, you have 15x7
