Im looking for new rims for my truck. I have 265x75-16 duratracs that rub at full lock. Looks like new rims will be 16x8(stock is 16x7?)

Im getting a little confused with backspacing when the rim is also getting wider. I think i need 4" of backspacing or less, is that correct? I found a set I really like used 16x8 but with 5" backspacing, so I assume these would make my rubbing worse?

Thanks for the help guys.

Oh and recommendations for new wheels are also welcome

Did you ever get a response to this? I have a pair of 16x8s in my garage right now with 4" of backspacing. I bought them for a totally different reason, but want to make sure that they still work out just fine on my new 2000 4x4.

Problem is when you get up to 16" and larger rims almost all of them have a GM-type offset even if they have a Ford bolt pattern, i.e. too much backspace. The least I've seen on a 16x8 is the Pro Comp 1069 at 4.0".
