im doin the d35 swop in my 88 super cab, it has a 6" susp..lift and was wondering what i can do to get the most flex out of it, im leaveing the sway bar off and getting extended radius arms, what alse can i do? and how much do you think ill get numbers whys too? thanks on any help i get... mike

Skyjacker soft ride springs... Im not sure how much more you can do before running Jeep coils.

After the extended arms its all about the coils.

4" pivot drops, custom extended arms and mounts and 4.5” Rancho XJ coils.

18 1/4" travel

thanks, thats what i was lookin for todd , really like the flex your truck has.

What kind is your 6" lift?
14-15" of total wheel travel is possible from some kits (such as Skyjacker), but you'll probably never see that in a typical lo-speed flex situation (numbers around 7-10" are more typical).

To get more flex (as said) it's almost solely about the coils, and not having the shocks limiting it.

If you decide to switch to better (softer) coils, you'll absolutely have to address some concerns with your steering geometry that are normally present on 6" suspension lifts, too.

This is my BII with 6" Skyjacker XJ coils, 12" travel Bilsteins on F-250 shock mounts

Jeep coils will likely be a bit soft on a Supercab truck though, I'd look into early Bronco or straightaxle F-150 coils (something rated around 300lbs-inch, vs the 230-240lbs-in of some Jeep coils) if you decide to play around with different coils.
