I was looking to get some gauges to somewhat replace the dummy gauges on my cluster and so I could actually know how my engine is running.

How hard is it to install them from the people who have done it and any tips you could offer to make it easier? Like where to hook up the sensors and everything.

Thanks in advance

Where do you plan to mount the gauges?

volt gauge is very easy to install, grab a add-a-circuit from AZ for around 6 bucks and install it in the fuse box to any switch source.

Find the coolant temp sensor on the engine(idk where it is on an 03) Mount the new sensor if electric gauge and run the wires in the cab to the back of the gauge. If mechanical mount the gauge and hook all light wires up. Run the cooper line into the engine compartment and install in the temp sensor port.

For the light wiring tap it into the dash light circuit. I found mine for the cigarette light so it would adjust like factory.

Also get some wire and crimp butt connectors or soldering for electical connections.

Hope that helps with any confusion.

I plan to try and make then go on the a pillar, but it not I am going to fab up a steering column mount.

That did clear up a lot...thank you.

For the temp sensor I would use a T one for the new guage sensor and one for the factory. The temp sensor helps the computer determine what the fuel/air ratio should be. I had a '98 ram when the temp sensor went the truck wasnt driveable.
