Hey guys...
Giving up on new seats...too hard to find...
So, looking at some of the tight fit, custom seat covers for the 60/40 bench. Since those are still pretty expensive I only want to make this purchase once. Trying to make a decision between neoprene and vinyl. Any body have one or the other? I'm switching into vinyl floor and want seats that are equally weather resistant. Thoughts?

Also, I got the truck about a week ago and was told that it was detailed before I bought it...I'm guessing something was done to wash the seats and the carpet as they are still (a week later) feeling damp and the truck smells a little musty. Other than parking it in the sun (I live in Southern Mississippi so it's hot here already) with the windows open, any ideas on how to get the interior real good and dry?

Thanks!

i believe vinyl is pretty much water proof... if not resistant.
and i'm sure you could find a weather proofer spray of some sort to put on the neoprene OR the vinyl.

either i'm sure is decent... but if you are looking for ease of clean and weather proofing, probably vinyl.... but wait for someone to back me up.

also, you can put a dehumidifier in there, might work... no experience with that.

shouldn't take too long for everything to dry.

if you want you can unbolt the seats and take them out of the cab, that should open them up to more air flow and such.

Nice going bro. When seats are wet. you will always get that musty smell and other odors. Do yourself a favor a go buy a 10-15 bag of charcoal yes thats rightr charcoal that you barbecue with. make an X in the bag and open it up and lay it in the vehicle while the charcoal stays in the bag. it will soak up cigarettes, bad ordors and anyother muscty smells. works like a charm. you will be pleasantly surprised.

both sound like good ideas that I had not otherwise thought of...TRS comes through again! Thanks!

i have a set of Beard Racing seats that have neoprene covers. i get them wet and no matter how wet they are, they'll be dry by the morning.

they are rather expensive tho. i bought them for $350 brand new for the pair but they sell for about $450 each.
