I believe they still charge you tax if your in the same state the business is located.
 
33% duty cycle is not very much...I would install a secondary fill option, like a shrader valve, this way you can fill the tank up at the local gas station before hitting the trail and have the compressor sustain the pressure in the tank...

this one is actually going on my 2wd truck, it's going to run not nearly as much as it would on an offroader, mostly just to familiarize myself with it before i go digging into the B2.

that said, if it's not big enough i can swap the pump or add one later.
 
Have you thought of the York engine driven compressor?? Me and a buddy just dug 4 of them out of the junkyard at $25 a piece, 13.9 cfm @ 2000 rpm @ 270 psi...They're easy to make a bracket for as well...

F*** buying a compressor for my garage with that kinda output!

What were they for on the old Fords?

We've got a Sullivan-Paletek 120 CFM @ 120 PSI air compressor here
 
They were used as AC compressors. The Yorks have a self contained oiling system, so they are popular for OBA conversions...
