Wasn't much point in buying those was there ? They're all but buried under the ugly stuff.

You can always get rid of the intake elbow![]()
I agree.
Which by the way, I have an intake elbow sitting here doing nothing if it can help someone out in a swap.![]()
The point of getting them is lost if you don't take the time to pretty up the rest of the engine.

I tried to do just that with the 351W in the 95 F150 I'm working on. I went out to get pics and even after the pains I took to pretty it up, it's still one ugly Mo-Fo.Painted the block and intake dark Ford blue, the upper intake and the valve covers semi gloss black, along with the FEAD parts. There's just nothing you can do with the rest to clean it up. The wiring is still butt ugly, along with the sensors and throttle body, not to mention the miles of hoses and vacuum tubing.
And then you give it a couple weeks of normal driving and it will all be filthy anyway...
X2 unless you plan on making a show car

The lighting doesn't help, but it's not THAT dirty! Of course, it's a street truck.
I think clean looks better under dirt than dirt does. Of course, I understand "go" is more important for many of us.
I'll take that...is that from a 96-97??

Do you have just the elbow, or do you have the Tb to go with it?
