getting parts together/ ordered to reassemble my engine. When i removed the valve covers i decided to paint them. Removed a rubber insert from both covers which have 2 hoses that plug into them. It has motorcraft and numbers 42592 on them but the motorcraft website does not recognize the part number... anyone know what pieces i am talking about and where i can find them? thanks

They are just generic grommets. The number that you gave doesn't mean much, it isn't a part number.

Just go to the parts store and find one that fits the hole.

PCV grommets, generic at any parts store

I just did the same to both my valve covers, the PVC grommets was perfect from the top and totally rubble on the bottom.

The "ford Motorcraft 42592" close enough is "Dorman Help! 42049"
