Value estimate?

As much as it pains me im thinking about getting rid of my old 77. It just sits around ever since the muffler exploded (yes ill fix that) but its not the most economical daily driver, and, the money i get from it would go a long ways to getting rusty 2.0 up to snuff, which, would be a much more logical DD...so here it goes....just looking for ballpark...

77 F250 camper special.
400/C6/2wd.
Class IV hitch with brake control.

Odo says 26k, i believe it to be only 126k, i bought it with 90k so its been rolled atleast once.

Runs/drives/stops great. Factory AC (dont work but all parts are there), heat works good, floorpans a bit crusty, otherwise solid. BFG A/Ts at about 65% tread. Wouldnt hesitate to drive it to florida and back....

Only 2 pics i had handy. Im thinking 1500-2k is a fair price. Am i low or high or right on?

As long as the body is relatively solid I think you're right on. I'd see if I got any bites at $2500 if it were mine. It seems like the 73-79 half tons sell the best, followed by the 4x4 F250's.

Thats part of the reason i asked. Any 2wd 3/4 ton of this vintage i find on CL is either a full on resto/survivor or a 4wd plow truck. The 2wd ones usually look like they havent been roadworthy since reagan was president.

The half tons are a lot lighter, and much more nimble trucks, if you will - even in the same wheelbase. That's the only thing I don't really care for about the F250's. Out here it actually seems easier to find one that's in good shape though, as opposed to a nice half ton. A lot of them were used for hauling campers around and didn't see as many miles.

Oh yeah. Ive had many dents over the years. The 100/150s definatly were eaiser to nip around with. This truck feels like a tank even compared to my 97 HD. It makes my ranger feel like a go kart. I had a 78 F350 dually once that drove like an old worn out tractor.

Most the 3/4tons around here got beat by farmers. The fords not as bad as the chevys, but still bad enough.

EH, I'm told the trip is only about 8 hours one way. I'd tow a trailer out with the Ranger and then trailer the Ranger back.

I'm always looking at prices of these trucks... it really depends on your location. That truck may be worth $2k to $4500 depending on where you live.
