A tree poked a hole in my front lower valance. I'm going to get a new one from Ford. Is there anything special that I'll need to make the swap? Is this all about removing a few clips and screws or something more complicated?

Theres just some odd little bolts with little clips on them. They should come right off. Make sure you have some plyers or vice grips to hold the clips, the little buggers can be sharp.

Unless they changed the way they attach them for '07's, mines a '93

...too bad I hit that tree as well!

Thanks for the info. I'll just haul out the tool box and go to town on it. In all the years, this might be my first body work that didn't involve duct tape.

I just replaced mine. '98 model. Had to rip the old one loose, could not get any of the plastic tabs to unhook. There are four screws, two at each end. All the rest is clips. Get the new one and look at it first to make it easier to see what's what.

To install the new one, I just used a folded towel and a driving hammer to push in the clips without marring anything. Start from the center, work outwards.

I have no fog lights. I don't know how different that would be. Still can't be too complicated, though. This isn't a Volvo.

I appreciate the additional info. I've always been a ripping-apart-the-carburetor guy versus a rip-off-some-body-panels person. I suppose you just have to get your feet wet, just like anything else.
