Vacuum Issue, I think

When I bought my truck, it had a "Rugged ridge" manual hub conversion.
However, my vacuum issue is that my heat selector will not select. It stays on defrost, I'm not sure if the idiot that had the truck before left vacuum lines uncapped or something. But, what vacuum lines should be removed from the system?
and what lines should I check for my selector?

Look under the airbox on the passenger side inner fender liner.

You'll find a black plastic sphere.

One of its lines comes from the engine vacuum.
The other goes to about the center right of the firewall into the cab.

Those are the two lines you should focus on, along with the spherical vacuum accumulator itself.

If you look at that link (copy and paste), you can see mine detached from the removed inner fender liner for other maintenance. Pretty certain you'll have to remove the air filter airbox to see it well. Airbox is held on with rubber grommets/plastic pins. Lube them with WD40 and PULL to get it out. I think you have to pull inward to the engine and up, both. Been a while. If you take the tire off, you can just unbolt it from the wheelwell and leave the airbox alone.

The vacuum line(s) to the hubs should be capped "somewhere". Can't help you with that.

So, ,my problem is that when it is below 80 outside, everything works fine.
So I can't really tell where it is leaking from.
Is the canister known to go?
