Hi, I'm trying to install a vacuum gauge for my truck, wondering where the best place to tie off and get a reliable vacuum would be?
I already got the gauge and everything, just need to know where the best place to T off would be.

I heard the closer to the throttle body the better, but I can't remember where I heard it or if it's true. Anyone know where I should do it?

There should be a tree on the intake manifold where a bunch of vacuum hoses hook up. Find a stem of the tree that isn't being used and is currently capped. Hook the vacuum gauge to that and you should be set. That's how I hooked up the vacuum gauge in my 92 2.3L, but your 02 may be different.

Maybe I am naive but what is the point of doing that.........assuming that you want to put it in line permanently.
