I got 94f150 302 in a 85 ranger 4x4.and have no idea how to do vaccume lines.it had 2.8 v6.there is a plate between carb and intake that has all kinds of things on it.im using the stock 2 barrel carb for now.i have a 4 barrel intake.ive got a 4-2 barrel reducer plate.do i bolt that plate frm the 2.8 to my reducer plate then install the carb?keep in mind the 2 bbarrel is temporary.holley truck avenger carb is goin on in nxt two yrs.so how do i make this work??and ive heard my tappet covers wnt work frm the 94 cuz a pcv valve is needed and theres nt a hole.advice and pics would help alot.

Vacuum sources below the throttle plate(between carb and engine) are called unported or "regular vacuums", these are used for power brakes, PCV, EVAP, EGR, so most regular vacuum devices.
Above the throttle plate(on the carb) are called ported vacuums, these are used for vacuum advance on distributor, and some carb devices.

Unported vacuum is high at idle and low at high RPM
Ported is the reverse, low at idle high at high RPM

Thanks. Advice yal given helps alot. Im new to this and tryin to learn it but every motor has a slightly diff setup so this really helps.
