Hi everyone
I have a 2001 ford ranger edge 4x4 had a 4.0 , I did a v8 swap from a 1998 ford Explorer 5.0 awd, I used the transmission 4R70W from the explorer, but not the transfer case, I used the 01 transfer case, I did graff in a gem from a older ranger , The problem I'm having is the speedometer works perfect when its cold as it heats up it stops working, any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks

So, the speedometer signal is from the sensor in the rear differential.

The sensor could be flaking out, the wiring could be damaged, or the speedometer gear in the cluster could be going out. If the odometer stops working, that’s usually an indicator of the little plastic worm gear coming apart in the cluster. Gonna have to dig into things and do some diagnostics…

Thank you!
