Hey guys, new here and have a quick (hopefully) question for ya. I have a ford ranger I plan on stuffing a v-8 into. I just have a tranny question. Will the 302 bolt up to a c6 auto out of a 351?

Thanks in advance, Chris

i think the bell housing bolt patern is different, but dont hold that to me. look in the tech library at the of the page.

Depends on the 351. Windsor, Cleveland or M?

Windsor, Yes.

M, no.

Cleveland, not sure.

Cleveland is also a small block bell.

Ditto, the Clevelands all had the small block bell pattern. The M's had the 429/460 bell.

Chris , Why would you want to use the C6? Its heavier and larger than a C4 and robs more horsepower. The std. Hedman header #89500 nor the Mustang Tri-Ys wont work with a C6. I think a C4 small bellhousing / 157 tooth would make you a lot happier.

the 302 an 351 windosr blocks will interchange the 351 m uses the 429 an 460 . the Cleavlands us the windsor pattern yes the c4 is weaker . but he c6 is tuff as nails.
