V8 engine swap

I have a few questions
Is it possible to use a f150 or pre '97 ranger 4x4 transmition with a 5.0 v8 mustang engine??
If I did that could I still have 4x4 capability??
And would it even fit under the hood??

Ranger transmission won't bolt to a 302.

As for 4x4, many trans/transfercase options, combinations, etc...

if you use a v6 5spd from an f150 it will bolt to a 302. find a 4wd one and use the tranny and tcase out of that
