v8 engine mount fabrication

Just wanted to know if i fabricate motor mounts to bolt onto the original 2.9 frame mounts, if i drill the holes as perscribed by some in a 1/4" piece of metal, do i just flip flop them side to side. Are they going to be the same but flipped?
