I used the front dress off the crown vic donor, alt. is stacked on top of the steering pump with a serp belt.
worked great.
I did find out the hard way that your front dress is kinda matched to your water pump so what ever you use be sure to match the dates and model of the engine donor.

I am going to use the same setup as Copperhead, only mine is supposedly out of a '87 Grand Marquis. Not 110% for sure what it is out of but it is a '87 engine. I love how compact it is compared to most v-belt setups.

As viewed from the front (with a seized smog pump that has been pitched)

Compared to my '78 LTD 302:

ya,those 70's ltds you could damn near put another 302 in front of the one bolted to the frame....no need to shorten things up there.

Not too sure, mine was an '87 Marquis engine and the fead bracketry was a bit different than what you have. But no matter, looks like it will work out good regardless.

They guy also swore up and down it was a '84, which is why I wasn't for sure what it was out of.

Fuel injected non HO roller 302 with late '86 calender year ('87 model year) plastered all over...

That sounds about right, 87 was the first year for the roller cams in the Vic. My donor was an 88 Vic with the same FEAD y'all have.
