V6 or 4cyl?

There's no way you are getting 25 mpg with a 5" lift and 31s.

I am considering the purchase of a Ranger. I owned a 2000 4cyl and was reasonably happy with it.

I have heard good things about the 3.0 and was wondering if I should consider it as well. How does the MPG compare to the 4cyl?

How much more power do you really get?

How dependable are the 4x4s, especially if you don't use the 4wd much? What about the 4x4 MPGs?

Thanks

To answer your question...I get 15.7 city/highway combined with the 3.0 but keep in mind it has 180k on it and 245's instead of 215's. I haven't done any heavy trail riding but it does great in 4x4 so far. It's got good torque but it's not a drag car.

the 3.0 is indeed a revver and a very tough little engine, and very reliable as long as u check and change ur fluids on time. my truck sees the 5k mark every day and still strong. :icon_thumby:
