So I have a project that has a 302. With I think an AOD and I know 1356 tcase. To sum a few things up I need to shorten my drive system and I know the 1354 is almost a full 3 inches shorter. For some reason I was thinking there is a c-6 trans or a t-5 with the right bolt pattern and output to mate a 1354. The question I don't know is will the bell fit the 302. Any help and ideas welcome :icon_thumby:

none of the fullsize transmissions will bolt to a 1354. The ranger t-case is only 5 bolt and the fullsize is 6 as well as the spline count being different. Advance Adapter sell an adapter I'm certain but it isn't going to save you any legnth. An Np208 is smaller than the BW1356 but I'm not sure how much shorter if any. A NP205 is smaller is every dimension and stronger but quite heavy.

well I do have a 208 but its a slip yoke and the kit plus a new driveshaft is like $700. I did see a post where some guys took the dodge output shaft and cone swaped from a scrap yard
