V-8 swap

Hi,

I am new to the site and am looking for some tech help. More than anything im looking for someone nearby that could help me with my swap. Im in Irmo, SC.
1985 ranger single cab 2WD
Carbed 5.0HO from 86 mustang
C-4 from whatever my friend pulled it out of
Im not a mechanical idiot but im not a genious either. Any help is appreciated. Im also not lookin to make a race truck. Just something cool to do.

Or remove the Mustang engine, including the mounts, bolt the C4 to it, bolt it to your Ranger crossmember, and drive the snot out of it.

He'll also need 50 oz/in flexplate to go with that order.

Thanks teddyzee. Ive been reading up on the foum and I think im ready to get started. got parts on order. Wish me luck. Oh, I also decieded to go with a t-5 instead of the c4. Got a world class from the same guy.

I happen to have an HO flexplate. I mistakenly used it when I changed from a worn out HO to my fresh 1970 302. Now I've got vibration. I didn't know there was a difference until I felt the vibration. It was weird and pulsing.

I knew it wasn't the usual suspects. It's up for grabs, but I need to know what flexplate I need to fit between a 1970 standard 302 and a 1983 4X4 C5 trans.
