so im putting a din style hu into my 84 ranger, i just made little mountain brackets for it, when i got into the wiring it made no sense to me all the wires were completely random colors, the ground wire was a baby blue! It is the style with two 3 1/2 inch speakers in the dash and there were only 3 wires going to the 2 speakers. i basically just said to hell with it and put in my own wires for everything, new speaker wire going to 2 alpine type r's, no rear speakers, new remote wire new ground new battery constant,

so my question is there are only the 2 blue wires left one solid one with a white stripe and i don't know what thery are for. i tried just taping them off and trying it out and the speakers work but if i turn it up any louder than say 10 on a deck that goes to 40 it gets from clear to even quieter than before and lots of static. im assuming i just need to do something with those to blue wires, any ideas where they go?

btw im not running an amp or sub just 2 alpine type rs and a panasonic CQ-C5401U head unit

heres how the wiring goes on a headunit. yellow- constant, red- switched power, black- ground, speaker wires are purple, gray, white, and green, blue with a white strip is the remote wire for the amp turn on.

hope this helps some.

ok so i have everything wired correctly then but the same problem is happening ive double and triple checked the wiring any ideas wire thespeakers are acting so funny??

have you checked to see if a speaker wire is grounding out?

do you have both of the blue mystery wires together or seperate and are they going TO the headunit or FROM the head unit.
and how did you run the switch power wire to the unit?
