My girlfriend rolled her Jeep last week so we're looking a cars for her.

Does anyone have any experience with 2003 Nissan Maximas or 2003 Volvo S60 AWD 2.5Turbo?

Thanks,
Jay

Well, the Volvo is a Ford after all. I know a young mechanic out in New York that can make any Volvo run like stink. Both are good cars with good records. Price and what the cars present condition ought to help make the choise easier. That's the best I can come up with now.

An awd turbo volvo (especially the new ones that look good) would be much, much, much cooler than just another nissan.

I agree that it's a nice looking car (Volvo) but I no nothing of it's reliability. The car is a higher mileage vehicle.

Think of the bright side... get the Volvo and drop a rebuilt and tuned 5.0L Mustang GT engine in it like a friend of mine did in his 84 Volvo station wagon. I've never seen a better sleeper in person.

But, in all purposes of a daily driver and what not. I would choose the Volvo mainly because it's AWD and also because it's a Ford product. I've driven one before, they're a very smooth and comfortable ride.

We had an early 70's Volvo sittin in our garage for, well, as long as we've had a garage. It was my dad's second car. The engine still fired up even after sitting almost a year. We just didn't have the money to restore it, but it would have been sweet. I wonder where that old steel beast is these days.

Go volvo.
