UrbanRedneckKid's Build Thread

did you gill slit the fenders on the cuda yet? i seen the split reverse light and hoped it was a clone...

It was an actual 71 Cuda. Only original parts are the roof and pillar skins, door handles, and grill.

The owner and us decided against cutting out the gills in the 1pc front-end.

The owner is tossed between the billboard on the quarter, or strobe stripes. It'll be bright green w/ matte black accents. Silver base with multiple neon green candy coats.

Seems like you have been pretty busy. Nice work on those cars man although I'm not a big fan of camaros but hey ford and dodge gotta have somebody to pick on right? Haha

Finally opened my M5...
Broken 1-2 shift fork.
Excessive wear on the input and counter shaft gears.

Now to just get around to swapping the guts from the 3.0 2wd M5 that I have lying around....

That's what makes me not miss the M50D...though maybe they hold up better in rangers than mine did in my F-150. Went through syncros, slave cylinders, and shift forks all of the time, and it was just a 2wd.

On the bright side, they are really easy to work on. I rebuilt mine in less time than it took to remove the damn thing... A guts swap should be nothing more than an inconvenience :icon_rofl:

Working full time with 2 part-time jobs really puts a dent in my time to fix anything. I'm lucky just to keep my Sploder up and running, though its a week and 300mi overdue on the oil change.

Ya. That's a lot of work! I have a full time job and just keep up with life and the house takes most of my time. I give you props though, you don't see that kind of work ethic anymore.

It's amazing how tough it is to stay on top these days... Gotta work for the good life. Got a roof, a baby, a hobby, and a few nice things, It's worth it.

My Ranger got some much needed lovin today.
Picked up a set of 80% TSL SXs
And got both M5s torn down to the point of using the press... Then we started drinkin.

The tires will look good on their!! what size did you get

35x15.50-15
Also switched wheels. I had 15x10s w/3.5 backspace, the new wheels are 15x12 w/ 3.5 backspace.

They weren't my first choice, but the price was right. So right that I might put them up for sale...

Finally got it all back together.
Rebuilt the m5 w/ 3.0 gears
Got the new tires and wheels on
And fixed a whole bunch of things

Got it all done, then realized I put a 99 shift rail set in... Oh well, out came the cutoff wheel and the welder. Made it fit the 94 shifter. The lower 1-2-3 is amazing!

Still need to cut my fenders to accommodate all the tire outside my fenders now.
