My Ranger originally had something like a 45A alternator, it now has a 130A Explorer alternator. I have added a lot of stuff to it over the years, all of which runs off the battery side of the starter relay.

I will be doubling the number of efans in the future and someday hope to add a winch.

At what point is the factory wiring not going to be enough? What is the best way to go about fixing it? According to the EVTM it T's with one going to the battery and the other going to the fuse panel.
 
You can run an additional line for alternator output to the battery.

I would suggest putting in an upfitter panel. It should have it's own power supply from the battery... a fuse panel... a power relay to power the fuse panel and relays for any high current draw items you add on. Use this panel to run all of your add on stuff... lights... fans... whatever add on you have. This will take the load off the factory wiring to the factory fuse panel.

At the very minimum, increase the alternator output wire size. I got my 130amp alternator from the junk yard and took the cable from that vehicle also.
 
I actually have two fuse panels added. One is constant 12v and one is keyed power.

Right now the only way my added on stuff touches the truck’s factory electrical system is thru the alternator wiring.

So where does your hot with key on fuse panel get it's supply... from the ignition switch?

I have it all on the passenger fenderwell where all the vacuum stuff used to be right behind the battery, my truck is totally bass akwards from yours.

So where does your hot with key on fuse panel get it's supply... from the ignition switch?

It originally powered the coil, now it powers a relay.

Not planning on it at this time. It does have a 65 class battery though so it is more than the dinky factory one.

I am going from a single efan to a dual efan so I am adding another power hungry accessory... it got me to thinking about keeping the battery charged with the extra draw.
 
So your hot at all times block powers the relay that activates with the ignition key on which powers the key on block... as it should be.

I think you could just run and new cable from the alternator to the battery and be ok.
