so I am in the military and dont have my truck over seas yet, so I cant look at it. I know from the last time I was home that the upper ball joint on the passenger side is shot. The truck is currently in route to my location, otherwise I'd have a friend just look at it.

I found a kit on ebay that came with both upper control arms, 2 sway bar end links, 2 lower ball joints, and both sides of inner and outter tie rods. I know the driver side control arm is correct. but they sent me an unfamiliar looking one for the passenger side. to my knowledge they were both the same when I had to change the camber bushings.

here is what they sent me for the passenger side. any ideas what this is really for? or am I loosing it....

Some of the early 98+ rangers had a 2 piece upper control arm on the passenger side only. It slides back and forth for caster adjustment. The 2 piece can be swapped out for a new style 1 piece control arm.

That's how mine look. When you pull the wheel off you'll see it looks just like that.
