Hey all, my 06 ranger's passenger upper control arm was changed back in march. All is tight, perhaps too tight. Cause when I rock the truck it pops and seems like it's centralized from that area.

Doesnt that sound premature for it to be making noise?

I'm tired of throwing money at it.

Its pretty much new under it. Just that creakin upper ball joint. Which I didnt wanna change so prematurely.

What does the boot look like on the upper ball joint. If it is torn, foreign material will be getting in. If the boot is torn, it should be replaced. Have you hoisted up the front end to inspect it closer. Just rocking it on the ground is going to give you very limited info.

Depends on how hard you drive and how the roads are around you. Here in Michigan you can expect to replace AT LEAST one ball joint every tire change.

What brand did you use? If you or the shop used a cheap ball joint it very well could be done by now.
