Upgrading?

Thinking of upgrading to a more serious 4X4, something with a V-8, beefier diff's, more articulation and 37 to 40" tires, off road only is a possibility, I have a car hauler.

I figger my 88 Ranger Super cab, 2.9 auto with EFI, 33" tires and stuff is about as off road as I can get it without swapping out the 2.9 for a small block and all the suspension for bigger diff's and full coils.

I would just a soon buy something with all that stuff already done sos I'm looking around which includes Craig's List Reno for something suitable.

Any suggestions?

get an 02 or 03 FX4 all manual. you wont regret it! that way the only thing you will ever have to upgrade to is a solid axle. it has everything else that these 1st and 2nd gen ranger guys are upgrading to.
