Hey guys, I'm finally upgrading gears to run my 33's but I'm not sure what to get for the dana 35 I have. I went on jamesoakesenterprises.com to find it but I don't understand if I need the ones that say (reverse) or the ones that don't. I know it's probably a stupid question, but I'll ask it anyway. Also, I need to know if the minimum installation kit will be enough to do the job all the way and correctly for both front and rear axels.

thanks for any tips in advance,
chaz.

You have reverse gears (High pinion) in your Dana 35.

Yukon gears seem to be the most popular, followed by G2.

Get an installation kit with Timken or Komo bearings only...all others are junk in my opinion.

I have an extra pig for sale if you're interested in getting the gears set up first so you dont have as much down time.

I would set it up in a spare pig IMO. Then when it comes time to swap stuff out, its as fast as how fast can you swap out the pigs.

Yukon, Motive, Nitro are all good brands. Never had issues with any of them.

Some brands may not be available depending on the ratio you need. Last time I checked, Nitro was the only choice in 4.88s and 5.13s for the D35. Fortunately they appear to be decent, and there's been no reports of any issues that I've seen (used to be Precision Gear was the brand to buy, but their quality and selection tanked after they got bought out some years back).

Um... this past spring I managed to get 4.88's from Yukon Gear. I believe they're still available too!

How much you want for your D35 3rd?

Good to know, however it seems they still don't list 5.13s on their site.:dunno:
