Upgraded clucth kit

I have a little experience with those puck type disks. Not in a Ranger though. They are typically harsh and tend to be ON or OFF. Not real forgiving.

Why do you think you need one that holds more torque?

I have done ECU tunning on my truck, and the next move is install a turbo kit.
Just with the tune, on low rpm I can feel more torque, and the clutch slipping.
Now I use organic Luk...

I have that same one above, not installed yet but Ive opened the box several times. I'm going to install it in the next couple months. It looked like the the best bang for my buck, name brand, not something cheap and looks to be driveable still. South bend clutches were a like $200 more. I can let you know. I have to do something sooner than later because my clutch is about gone.....

I've had the Centerforce Dual Friction clutch installed in my '95 4.0L 4x4 for the better part of 10 years.

I only have the stock clutch to compare, and the stock piece had 150k of unknown to me miles on it before I got it.

Pros: Smooth engagement, seemingly good torque holding. I've pulled 6000 lb Uhaul trailers multiple times and put another 160k on the truck and it's still working well.

Cons: Heavy clutch pedal. If you drive the truck in stop/go traffic and regurlarly skip leg day, I don't think you'd have a fun time.
I'm not sure it's related, but I've had to replace a leaking/failed clutch slave cylinder twice. (First one definitely had a coolant leak dripping into the bell housing.)

The truck with the blower has an auto.

Although I've thought about converting it to a manual. I would consider using a T-5 out of a mustang instead of a M5 to avoid the Hydraulic clutch.
