Updating the Tech Library Transmission section - Suggestions Needed

Hi,

I made a very functional transmission fluid pump the other day and wanted to share a picture. I had many of these components on hand, but can supply some closeup pictures of the fittings if that would help anyone.

Doing it this way kept my pump bottle from getting contaminated with ATF, so I can use it for other things.

My only improvement on this would be to add a shutoff valve towards the hose end at the transmission. The pump bottle has a pressure release which immediately stopped the flow of fluid, but the residual in the line dribbles out if you don't keep the end of the hose elevated. A valve on the end would solve this.

frame inspect / repair

Seems like with so many rusted & cracked frames, a more detailed write up, how to fabricate frame sections would be helpful

Gonna be pulling an 89 2.3 a4ld out to rebuild it.

Anyone have a simple controller beyond switches to make it a 6 speed by applying overdrive in 1st & 2nd

Maybe I overlooked it, but I noticed that in the Fluid Capacities chart (which I only found inside the engine and fuel tech section), I didn't see any transmission fluids listed for the 80's and early 90's?
