Unknown wires broken

I noticed a pair of tan wires that run over the top of the cat converters to the transmission. Its a 87 4X4 with 2.9 and 5 speed. Whomever worked on it in the past left these wires hanging and they burned in two(four). Anyone know what they are for? Will they cause a problem being broken/burned?

Uhhh.....good question LOL I been workin on it so much I havent really driven it a lot. Lemme go check.....No they don't LOL I guess that's the wires. Thanks

zdewald,which other wires? I know there are other wires in that area but just the tan ones on mine got burned.

There are two wires to the reverse light switch and two more for the
Neutral Sense Switch (not to be confused in any way with a
"Neutral Safety Switch")

There is another pair of light blue wires that run to the T-case position
indicator switch

And finally a twisted pair of wires that run to the Vehicle Speed Sensor
on the t-case end of the Speedometer Cable.

ok thanks becuase i got a problem there and i dont know why
