I actually like the idea. If it were black it would look better.

Agreed, I like it. I thought about doing the same thing (in black) on my truck, but decided against it. I think it's awesome that he's thinking outside the box on a car like that!

A friend of mine owns a Line-X shop. Both of his trucks are sprayed. One is all black and the other is yellow and black. On a trail truck it's nice. On an Audi it's hideous.

I was around on VWvortex when that guy first did that...got a lot of mixed opinions. If you look around, there are a couple FJ cruisers that have a camo green bed liner coating. Oh, and he as since swapped out those wheels....he did that cause they were curb rashed to crap.

If you look into it more, he did it because somebody vandalized his car to an extreme degree, and he couldn't justify putting that much money into paint.

not a bad idea in that case, really.

I bet the guy that vadilazed it was the parking/securty gaurd at those shitty ass condos. The community is so shitty that everytime I go over there I make my cousin park his car outside while I park in his garage. O ya if you guys dont remeber the Dolly man her is the story. read here forThe Dollyman story.

The wheels are awesome!

Ahhh... I love it... all the guys there are like thats the most retarded thing ever! and over here we are like man... THATS AWESOME!

It looks good in the shade... but i wouldn't do it to my car... looks horrible in the sun and I bet messes up the aerodynamics of the car too.

It would be a good idea for a trail truck though. My friend has done it to 2 of his vehicles. With the right prep work its invincible but the mud is hard to get out of the grooves.

I actually like it.

True it's an Audi, a little on the higher end of the spectrum, but if it's something I'm beating back and forth to work and/or the grocery store, why not? And it's not like Audi's are priceless, you can pick them up for pretty cheap actually. A friend of mine got one for about $1200. and if the paint got fubar'd on that car would YOU spend the couple grand on a new paint job?, Or a few hundred on DIY bedliner?

Easy to clean, don't have to worry about the idiot next to you whacking you with his door, or keying you. As far as aerodynamics, it could have an effect like that of a golf ball?.

I think he did a bang up job. I'd totally do the same in his situation.

well i think thats cool but not on my dd if my truck was only a trail truck i would do it but i love to clean it up an make it all shinny

There is a Jeep around here that was done in lineX, a bright orange with high gloss finnish looked really good.
