Unbelievable Ecoboost story from f150 forum....must read

I almost kinda think it has to be him. I read the first few pages this morning and I think it is him, not the truck, not the engine.

My dealership has sold a few hundred of these trucks, and we work on at least 200 of them, just the Ecoboost, in a given month. Aside from the CAC issues that they are trying to get hammered out and a few odd coils gone bad I think the worst problem we have seen on an Ecoboost is a handful of leaking o-rings at the turbo return.

I actually have yet to see a true failure of the turbo 3.5 that was not modified in some way. I have seen far more catastrophic failures of the 5.4 that everyone is so fond of.

I haven't really heard of any problems with them from my local dealership either. Pretty much all of the new '150 engines have been really good so far...

Haha dude i have a ranger a 87 XLT with the 2.3 yes your right i made this account in 08 when i bought my truck but forgot about TRS untill i got a happy birthday e-mail. You can think im a troll if you wish i saw this bullshit story and thought i would share.

Don't jump at Mustawaffles, I was the one that called you a troll. He was just agreeing with me as I'm sure more than a few other members here did. From what was posted at the time I stand by my statement. Even if you pick up and become an active member of this forum, and I welcome you if you decide to, I still say that this thread was trolling.

Now grab a beer, pull up a seat, and peruse the forums. When you feel like it start a thread about your own truck and projects on it. We'd much rather hear about the truck you are building, than an ecoboost F-150 that the owner keeps killing.

Well, hopefully I don't have any problems with mine...I've already experienced the condensation issue. Though throwing rods seems suspicious.
