One thing I noticed the steering do, is when he went up the muddy slope (i know, real specific am I) the back wheels were spinning but he used the steer to sort of walk them to the side and they caught and it moved on.

I much more love what the steering does on a street tho. lol

yeah the going up the trail was useful that time, but before that- the rear steer was kinda iffy in my opinion. made the rear tires come off the trail as he turned at the top of the hill.

MMM... rockwells...

Keep in mind though the guy said it was a tour vehicle. I doubt the tour is going to be in mud, and probably not as steep of terrain as that, as a tour guide wouldn't plan a route for full on offroading angles, and also not take it to a very high speed.

That.
Thing.
Rocks.

Agree on the departure angle, but also agree on the probability that it won't likely see much steep stuff.

Shorten the wheelbase by about 2 feet, shorten the back by about 10 inches and make a removable hartop like on a Bronco and I'd buy one.

Unless it will all be boxed in to make a van. It's stupid.

How about interchangeable attachments for the bed area like on the HEMTT?
