It's my blue '84. Since I painted it 14 years ago, trees have fallen on it twice; two times it has hit a deer (well, one hit me, the blind bastard), and it hasn't been washed in at least 5 years. I'm also experimenting with growing edible and medicinal mold cultures on it. Other than that, it's beautiful.
I'm doing the same with my '83! It always has had some lichens growing on the topper, but since moving to FL the warm temps and humidity has enabled all sorts of other flora to thrive. Someday it will be a federally protected habitat.
I recently went on a work trip and was put up in a fancy hotel with valet parking. I really regretted not driving my Brown Bomber so they could line it up with the $100k+ cars in the valet ramp.
