so ive got a 94 3.0 4x4 ranger, my truck kept shutting off randomly as i was driving it down the road, mainly over small hills and hard bumps, so to me it made sense that maybe the ignition was going bad, so i put a new one in, drove it for about two hours and it was fine, filled my tank, parked it for about an hour and then went to get pizza, figured id take the short cut threw the woods and as i pull in the woods my truck shut off and wouldnt start, about an hour later got it to start, went got my pizza (took the road) and on my way home decided i was gunna push my luck and try it again and it died...does anyone have anyyy idea what it could be? thanks.

What do you mean by push your truck? Hard acceleration? Does it bog when accelerating? Can you be a little more specific on what it does besides just dies when hitting hard bumps and small hills?

thats the thing, it didnt doanything but just dye, other than that it ran great, and by push it i literally meant i pushed it dow nthe trail lol, but i figured it out, after some long hard thinking while i was using the bathroom i decided to go back to the basics and check the connections on my battery, sure enough my negative battery cable was loose enough to just slide right out, i tightened it up and now its running right again...just got home from wheelin all night (showin jeeps that there jeep thing isnt so special) and its still running great, but thatnks for the help
