need your opinion would 1/2" all thread work for u bolts for the rear end my my buddy said that i could make them out of it i was just wanting to know if it would be strong enough to use :icon_surprised::icon_surprised::icon_surprised:

If you can bend it into a "U" I wouldn't think it would be strong enough IMO.

It has to be grade 8!!!!! If not it will break. Grade 8 usually doesn't bend without breaking! I wouldn't risk it. Go get the lift kit from Auto Zone for like $30.00 bucks and use those bolts and just sell thew blocks like I did.

NO!! Don't use all thread (redi-rod if you will). Spend the money and do it right. Get the proper U-bolts for the application.

When you bend all thread, every thread will start to split apart. This is caused by the divot part of the thread causing a stress point which is basically stretched apart when it's bent. This will cause a fail point. Think about how many of these fail points there is in all thread (every thread).

Don't reuse old u-bolts either. They stretch when installed properly, and can't do that again properly when re-used.

ok i will go get the right s**t for it lol lol lol my buddy told me to use a torch to bend them but i still didnt know if it would be strong enough

A torch will bend it, but it will become weaker at that spot!
