Searched around I can't seem to find good answers or parts.

I'm wondering first is there any options to replace the factory sway bar with something stronger? Mine is bent I don't think it's a huge deal but still I'd like something stronger if I'm going to buy a new set up.

Secondly I'm looking for softer coil springs something that isn't so still on the road but not to soft , also needs to perform well off road t0 my lift now is 5.5 can anyone point me in te right direction here?

Thanks I'm advanced!

Skyjacker springs are softer than superlift for sure if you want to stay with a RBV coil, maybe perhaps something from Duff too.

As for the swap bar...unbolt and toss in nearest dumpster.

Front b-II sway bars are thicker. The thickest is the hi-rider ranger front bar.
A comparison of front sway bars;

Left to right; '87 stx highrider 1.156" OD, '85 B-II .989" OD, '91 stx .901" OD
Measurements were taken where the rubber rides. Also notice the difference in the rubber mounts.

Hmm does seem a little stronger . I was thinking about calling duff but I keep reading about xj springs. Any differences?

As far as sway bars go I couldn't tell you I threw mine away when I did the lift. I have skyjacker springs and they still are pretty stiff. But no where near as stiff as my buddys rough country lift.

XJ coils seem to be the way to go to get flex but i'm not sure how good they are if you still DD the truck.

That's what I'm wondering , would they be good on the road, mine are so stiff it dosnt move up and down at all

I'd be inclined to get a softer rate spring and make the sway bar attach with a quick link for off road. With a 5.5 lift the sway bar would counter the softer springs on road. It is possible to run with out the sway bar but you have to realize you can't corner at the same speed as with. Some on-ramps and s-corners could give you trouble.

Thanks for the response Richard ! Currently I have coder pins on my links but still a pain and the bar is bent, they do not make ranger specific quick disconnect links right? If they do please inform me !

As far as springs , can some one tell me what lift size coil from an xj will lift my ranger 5.5 or 6 inches? I can choose a spring rate from there
