Two 6 Volts.

Just wondering if anyone had ran two 6 volts in series instead of one 12v.

Most 6 volts seem to be smaller and have the same amperage as a standard 12 volt. So two 6 volts with 800 CCA wired in series would get you 12v 1600 CCA. So it makes sense, I am just wondering if anyone has done it.

Granted it's not cheap but two of these will get you 1600 CCA without taking up space for two batteries.

I cant even find a single 12v batt with 1600 CCA that wouldn't take my whole tool box.

You would have 12v, 800 cca. When you series, you double the voltage, not the amperage. When you parallel, you double the amperage, and voltage stays the same.

Series = 12v, 800 cca
Parallel = 6v, 1600 cca
