Replacing my axle pivot bushings I noticed my axle beam is not sitting square in the bracket (axle pivot bracket). It is putting extra stress on the bushing and the bushing is not lasting. If you look from the drivers side through the wheel well to the axle pivot bracket (closest to pass side) the beam is like this I\I. Thanks for any help. Mods are 97 Ranger 4x4 super with 6 inch skyjacker class two with f-150 spacers.

if your radius arms are not dropped far enough it will cause your beam to sit like that.

But with the skyjacker class two you dont drop the radius arms. I also have a heavier bumper than stock so with the F-150 spacers and the weight of the bumper should be close to normal height

Some angle there is completely normal. maybe try a better quality bushing?

Firs the factory rubber failed, next prothane, now im on a duff bushing will post pic when I get home. The added stress causes the bushing to overflex and over time is throwing my camber off. Would it help if I unbolted the radius arm cross member lowered it some before tightening the axle pivot bolt?

Yeah, guess I'd need to see a pic of what's going on. I just can't see it being out of whack far enough to accelerate the bushing wearing but without also having your caster at some radically absurd angle (A friend of mine has the same 6" lift with 8" coils stuffed under it and hasn't had any issues with his bushings). :icon_confused:

That is the best I can do right now will try to get better pic this week.

That looks like a lot of angle.

Has your truck been in a wreck maybe? Or struck an object while offroad? Maybe you've got a beam that is bent.

The bracket seems to be too close to the passenger side beam as well.
