Twin stick boot and plate question

Hello-

So I know the parts are not available anymore, and I need some advice on fabricating something that will work. In the attached pictures, you'll see what I guess is the inner boot/plate, and the bottom of the rare bezel. You can see the rubber plate is pretty trashed. I have an old rubber bed liner that I could pretty easily cut a replacement out of, but I can't find a way to recreate the indents where the shift levers are- or maybe I don't need to?

Also, that rubber plate is the only thing between the floorpan and the transmission- should there be anything else?

The second pic is where I need to understand how to re-attach the boots. The little pins and keepers are super brittle. I've also considered trying some aftermarket leather boots I saw on eBay- already twin stick and sewed together, so probably would need some modification.

So, that's where I am- any help, suggestions, pics of previous mods would be appreciated.

I might have one of those boots. My truck has a metal plate bolted to the floor. Do you have any pics of the rest of the boot?
