I'm looking to attach a divorced transfer case to my 2.9l trans but it looks like it goes directly into the ranger tcase. I came accross an 88 2wd auto trans. My goal was to use the auto instead of my 5spd but it involves a lot of work.. ie transmission cooling lines, possible electronics and some cable that leads into the fire wall.

My question is - Can I use some parts from the end of the 2wd auto to switch out with the 4x4 trany to convert it to a 5spd 2wd. (I'm not to familiar with terminology so please give the dumb'd down version.)

Thanks guys!

None of the parts off the automatic will fit the manual. You'll need to find a 2wd manual trans.
