turn signal woes

so...wait.

you continuity checked the wire i ass u me d before going through the trainwreck of pulling the column apart and the switch.

jumper the wire to the bulb

I’d go back again to back tracing the wire. Started at the tail light and follow it into the truck. It should go along the tail behind the license plate, where there is a connector, and then up the driver side frame rail. You could pull apart the plugs and see if there’s power at the plug and repeat all the way up to the front of the truck if necessary. Might just be a dirty plug, but I’d also look for damage in the wire. And then I’m with @bobbywalter, jump the bad spot in the wire.

Do you have the old bulbs with the round brass base or the bulbs that are a flat piece of glass with a wire on each side? Either way, you may want to take a fin pick and scrape up the contacts to make sure you’re getting good contact, and bend them out a little bit to make sure you’re getting a connection to the bulb.
