Turkey Bay Wheelin Trip Sept 12-13

Now hold on just a minute there John...How am I a bad influence?? Just cause I don't always keep all four tires on the ground doesn't mean I'm a bad influence:dunno:...But I could say that hydrolocking after just 2 hours of wheelin is a bad influence, or the time...:D

precisely what i was thinking........:icon_rofl::icon_rofl:

At least pulling out chevys 3 times our size was well worth it, wish we would've got pics on that one!!
SVT

The fullsize Ford........ didn't make it half as far as the Chevy though!!!

but sweet geeze, I thought the bolt I ran through Johns hitch to strap to the tree was going to shear any second!!!!
perhaps this time I will bring a hitch pin, and a clevis!!!!!

Frank

I found my other pin, it was buried in my toolbox...I'll have to keep everything more accessable for this trip...Frank, you wheelin or ridin??
SVT

The lil woman will probably come along, if that's the case I will wheel......... some. And that's only if I can talk the detail shop into actually getting 16 coats of protective wax on my paint!!! lol.
But if we're camping and we'll have a couple days to hang out, I see no reason I can't get some riding and driving time in.

Frank

Hey Frank, I got a secret for ya if your worried about your paint...get you a spray bottle and a bottle of baby oil, before you go wheelin, give your truck a good spray down of baby oil, all surfaces except windows, including tires. After your done wheelin, all you need is a garden hose and the mud will fall right off, it'll also help protect against light scratches...

guys i don't know if i'm going to make it. every thing is good to go on the truck but money is not looking good. i hate that. but if buy chance some comes my way. me and my grand son will be there. :dunno:

Frank

somehow, you and diet ......just don't seem to go together.......:D:D

as for CB.... prolly more to do with the antenna than the CB itself......but i could be wrong, so if ya wanna try a cheap one from Wal-Mart, prolly be ok....

now, with that said, i gotta see if i have enough penny's to get a new antenna:shok:

l8r, John

The cobra is a good brand CB, I had the nightwatch, John has the cobra, though I forget what model...They are decent in price, usually around 50 to 60, if you hit one of the truck stops, they have em, antennas too, you should be able to walk out of there with cb and decent antenna for around 100 bucks...
Park rules states no alcohol, now I'm sure we will have some bring some, just as long as ya'll dont drink too much and get too roudy, and make sure you don't leave your cans and bottles laying around, I don't see us having a problem.
I drink whatever you bring, well except coke!!:icon_thumby:

We will have everyone meet at the OHV gate around 10 am, for those that don't know where it is, contact either myself, Railman or Frank the Tank. Everyone going feel free to PM me your numbers, so we all have contact. We use channel 32 out at Turkey Bay, as some cell phones don't work out there. See everyone there!!
