Turkey Bay Wheelin Trip Sept 12-13

Well. I am NOT going to be making it. The 2.8 in my BII blew, and on the way to pickup my spare 2.8, I had a balljoint break on the drivers' side of my truck. It is now the center of an arguement, since it ended up "pinwheeling" into the oncoming lane just in time to find a car in the wrong place.
The companies are arguing over it, and the BMW 530 that it swatted the crap out of. I wiped out the rear bumper and the lower ball joint wiped out the fender, and the front axle is now going to have to be switched out for the "C" on the axle getting spread from the balljoint failing, IF I can even get it back. I ended up with a seriously sprained wrist fromthe steering wheel "kick" that happened when the truck spun around, and a set of seriously wound up nerves from the whole thing.

and finally Danger..... i may have an open seat in my truck, just depends on if my daughter comes along or not..... hope ya come anyways, will still be a blast

now, if i see another Humvee, LMTV, or Hemmit within the next week, you'll find me at the local Mental Ward instead of Turkey Bay.......

Hey All. Thanks for the concerns and wishes. I won't know most likely until Monday about getting my truck back.
I still have to figure out I am going to go and bring my spare 2.8 home now that my truck is in limbo.
Oh, Ranger SVT. On the "upgrade to a Dana 35", why should I? My truck all ready has one. Granted it is the REAR axle, but, it has still has one, just the same. If I get my truck back, I have a Dana 44 to throw under the rear sitting in the garage. Oh, and while you are there scratching your head about the rear axle in my truck, here you go:

It's a (you might want to stay sitting down....) Jeep Comanche pickup. It has just under 300,000 miles on it , so I guess that I can't knock it for laying down on me, but, DAMN IT, how about a little warning/ clue that something needs to be fixed. I always grease all of my rides once a month, or better, depending on operating conditions (dust, mud, rain....), so this came as a really nasty surprise. The balljoints are less than a year old, so IDK "what" happened.
Hopefully, I can make a run with some of you folks one of these days.

hmmm..... i can offer the 31/10.50's to ya if ya want to go..... got a buddy that can mount and balance them for ya if ya come over on Friday ( he owes me a favor so the money part doesn't count here)

Billet, we have all been there one way or another, everyone don't have to make it both days, I just schedule both days that way if we have a member that can make it one day but not the other, either day is open so its more flexible on them, and for the members that can make both days, its just more wheelin time...

But anyways, in truck news, I got the lift complete...... found the missing relocation bracket for the ac line and put it on.

I go tuesday to get 1,700 bucks worth of wheels and tires, and wed I'm dropping my truck off at ac shop.

Then thur.... I'm taking it to Webbs Detail service and getting her spit shined, and scotchguarded.

I will be trying to make it (in the 04) and I may putt around in her a bit, and camp with you guys. it will either be late sat after work, or early sunday (I may even show up sober, and with a shirt on this time!!!!)

Now hold on just a minute there John...How am I a bad influence?? Just cause I don't always keep all four tires on the ground doesn't mean I'm a bad influence...But I could say that hydrolocking after just 2 hours of wheelin is a bad influence, or the time...
