I am thinking about doing allot of work on my Ranger this summer. Its a 1998 3.0, 4x4 manual with 207,000 miles. I have never replaced the oxygen sensors and its been throwing a "insufficient EGR flow" code for the past three years. Gas mileage has dropped about 2 GPM in the past 7 months, and its idling fairly rough and it hesitates when I lightly step on the gas when its cold. Its about time for new plugs and the wires are only about a year old but are cheap, air filter is good. I am fairly sure I am in for a head gasket job, its using a little oil and there is obvious oil in the coolant and is producing some bubbles in the radiator. Any suggestions on what to replace? If I do the head gaskets this summer, anything else I should look at replacing while I have the engine apart? Should I look at replacing the radiator because of the oil and nasty crud that comes back after flushing it? This truck is my DD, am I going to damage anything if I keep driving it with this head gasket problem?

It has also lost compression, the clutch "pops" much easier then before and if I park on a hill without the emergency break on, it will slowly inch its way down the hill.
