Hey guys I got a 1999 ford ranger 4.0L with 143k and I'm looking to tune up my ranger before winter hits...I already changed the oil a week ago and was going to flush out my radiator.....any ideas

I just did plugs, wires, air filter, cleaned my maf, and changed my fuel filter. It seemed to make a big difference in both fuel mileage and performance.

Hope that helps.

plugs !

How do i remove #3 plug on my ranger 2005 4.0L ?
Looks like i need to jack it up or something?

:bawling:

when i did my spark plugs, there were 2 i couldn't reach easily, put the socket on the spark plug and use a wrench on the spark plug socket, it should give you the right angle you need to take it off.

To change my plugs I just jacked the truck up and took the tires off and got them through the wheel wells, a bit of a pain but It was easier getting at them imo
